    CCSD Future Educator Program
    The district's largest apprenticeship program for students who want to become teachers or are interested in exploring careers in education (such as speech pathologist, school counselor, etc.)

    You can get paid to work in a Cherry Creek School District Elementary School while also attending high school!

    You can earn up to 20 hours of FREE college credit while building teamwork, communication and leadership skills.

    Components of Future Educator Apprenticeship: 

    1. Up to a 3-year opportunity that can continue 1 or 2 years after high school graduation. 
    2. On-the-job training: Students become hired, paid district employees of the school district. Students work as para-educators (teacher aides) in our elementary or middle schools during part of their school day. 
    3. Related Instruction: Students can enroll in 6 Arapahoe Community College courses in the first 2 years of the apprenticeship. These courses are offered at no cost to the student. All courses are relevant to a teacher education degree and are Guaranteed Transfer classes within the state of Colorado. 

    Requirements: 

    • Current sophomore or junior (apply in the spring to start during the following school year)
    • On track to graduate 
    • Want to become a teacher or pursue a career in education 
    • Ability to succeed in a hybrid course environment
