Long Range Facility Planning Committee

The Long Range Facility Planning Committee (LRFPC) is a group of community members from all six feeder areas and district employees representing different departments and schools to evaluate capital construction needs. 

Starting in January 2022, LRFPC formed the Building Utilization Subcommittee and began assessment for possible 2024 bond projects, taking into consideration:

• Building Age
• Building Condition
• Percent Utilization
• Prior Investment (3 prior bond cycles)
• Future Need (3 future bond cycles)
• Impact to Area Schools
• Transportation Needs

Based off this review, the Subcommittee and LRFPC began to finalize their project list and prioritize projects. The recommended project list totaled $1.6 billion in capital construction needs across the district. This project list and prioritization was shared with the District Leadership and the Board of Education in December 2023.
